Regular Attenders

The Importance of Regular Attenders and Connection Points

Regular attenders are every pastor’s dream—they are the committed core of the church. They faithfully participate in events, engage in ministries, and encourage others to get involved.

These dedicated members form the foundation of any church growth strategy. The key is to create as many meaningful connection points as possible. This serves two vital purposes:

  1. Bridging the Gap for Visitors – A church has only a short window to connect with newcomers. On average, it takes about three months for a visitor to build relationships strong enough to foster deeper engagement. Providing multiple connection points—both virtual and in-person—helps facilitate this process.

  2. Strengthening Member Engagement – Connection points not only help integrate new attendees but also deepen relationships among existing members. These interactions, whether online or in person, create opportunities for spiritual growth, community building, and lasting commitment.

Ultimately, strong connection points are the backbone of church growth. The more ways people can engage with the church, the stronger their sense of belonging and purpose will become.
